Veerapandi - The Temple Town


Mullai Periyar Water flow:

                        Veerapandi, The beautiful town is located on Theni-Kumuli (NH-49 Extn) road, 8 Km from Theni. The Mullai Periyar river flows in this town and makes surrounding into Green bed. Paddy and Coconut Trees Agriculture are most popular in this area. It is one of the major harvesting place in Cumbam Valley, which is third on harvesting in Tamil Nadu.

                           Sri Gow mariamman Temple and Sri Kannisvaramudaiyar (Siva) Temple are famous in Veerapandi and located in Mullai periyar river bed.

                            Arulmigu Gow mariamman Temple 8 Days Chithirai festival is so popular in Southern Tamil Nadu and Car festival during the festival is highlight one. Thruvizha will take place 24 hours in all 8 days and  Lacks number of Pilgrims from all regions will come during the festival.

                    Veerapandi is well connected by road. It is the main connectivity place for pilgrims during sabarimala season and nearest railway station is Theni - 7 Km, nearest Airport is Madurai 80 Km.
