Vayalpatti, a beautiful village is located in Mullai Periyar river bed and 7 Km away from Theni,Tamil Nadu. NH -49 Extn, Cumbum - Madurai By pass passed through this village. My village is located between 'Nagamalai' and 'kannimar karadu' looks So it looks like surrounded by two green walls. In My village, approximately 2000 people are living. Many caste people are living here with unity. From Theni, Bus service will be available at average every 45 minutes.
Vayalpatti falls under Veerapandi Panchayat. The Main livelihood of My village people is Agriculture mostly depends on Mullai Periyar River. My village depends on Veerapandi for People's needs like Post office, EB office, Bank, Police Station, Hospital,
Veerapandi Arulmigu Sri Gowmariamman Chithirai Thiruvizha is most Popular local festival in Vayalpatti. Thiruvizha will take place for 8 days. In Chithirai Thiruvizha, Vayalpatti also holds equal importance along with Veerapandi. Everyone wherever they are residing will come to temple during the 8 days and will worship Arulmigu Sri Gowmariamman.
While saying about Vayalpatti, I could not miss one thing.It is Gandhiji Government Middle School. I studied here till 8th standard. My School produces lot of Doctors, Engineers and other many Professionals from this soil. Gandhiji Government Middle School is foundation for my successful Software Engineering Career.
I always thankful for My school.
Many people including me are living away from this village because of their careers. People who were in Vayalpatti were migrated to other places like Bangalore, Chennai, other Cities and Other countries as well. They become developed but this village is not developed and in the same position for last 25 years. I don't Know when My Village will grow and when will become developed one. Waiting for that :)
